A couple of weeks ago Lidl sold some cycling bits in one of their weekly offers. Not remembering until I was on my way home I was not expecting anything to be left (last time I was late to the show and everything had gone) but I was pleasantly surprised to find plenty of stock left. I ended up buying a couple of pairs of cycling socks, some winter cycling gloves, a track pump and a compression top.
The track pump in particular seems exceptional quality for the £6.00 it cost. It puts the one I paid £20.00 for a few years ago to shame! I guess time will tell but the signs are good. On to the compression top, I was after something to stop a bit of the old belly wobble whilst cycling and also to act as a base layer for the winter miles ahead. I got the biggest one they did and once home I thought I would try it on…… I was a bit too compressed! I got it on but could hardly breathe and struggled to get it off! Needless to say I won’t be trying that on until I have lost some weight.
I have been extremely tired lately and although given my lack of fitness I usually feel tired this latest bout is by far the worst I have experienced. I am my own worst enemy when it comes to exercise but at the moment I get up, go to work, come home and just flake out. I just have no energy for anything. This is a bad thing on two fronts because obviously I should be out cycling or walking the dog to help weight loss but also my 10 month old daughter is now crawling around getting into all sorts of mischief and I need the energy just to chase after her.
I will mention the tiredness next time I see my doctor. All of the above means I am not getting out on the bike. The bike is still buried and I have a lot of work to do to have somewhere to store it. I need to clear some rubbish out just to have somewhere to store it that is easy to access. The mere fact that it is buried means it is even easier than normal to not get out there.
Anyway that is this week’s update sorted.
Thanks for sticking with me!
Cheers
Si
